Matthew suffered in addiction for several years. One day he woke up, sick of what his life had become. With help from his family and friends he came through the doors of Teen Challenge New Jersey in 2017. He graduated the program in January 2019 and went on to complete a three-month apprenticeship before being hired as a staff member.
Today Matthew brings his years of experience in sales, logistics and scheduling to his position at Teen Challenge New Jersey. He communicates with churches, schedules the choir and outreach programs that the center is involved in, and helps organize annual center events.
“The lord picked me out of the world a broken man and placed me at Teen Challenge. Not by accident, but because he had a plan and job for me to do,” Matthew says. His continuing desire is to use the skills that the Lord gave him to deliver the message that hope, freedom, and purpose can be had by those who have suffered the horrible life of addiction.
