Victor Washington
Assistant Director, Adult & Teen Challenge New Jersey

A hard working father of three, Victor worked his way up in the restaurant industry. He had everything a young man in his 30’s could possibly want: a good marriage, a beautiful home in Maryland, and a business partner who bought into Victor’s restaurant.

His whole life, though, was work. Too much work. He felt little joy. In an attempt to “feel something,” he turned to drugs. It wasn’t long before he lost everything. He became homeless—at times sleeping on benches, in malls, and in homeless shelters.

He had lost the foundations of his relationships with Christ. When he entered Adult & Teen Challenge New Jersey, however, that relationship was restored. Now having completed the program, Victor is very grateful. He feels it is his purpose to give back into the lives of the other men at Adult & Teen Challenge New Jersey.
